Lotus Temple
The Bahai (Lotus) Temple derives its name from the shape of the building which resembles a lotus flower and has become a prominent attraction in the city. The building is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad petals “petals” arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides, with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a capacity of 2,500 people.
This temple is the last one out of the seven lotus temples to be constructed around the world in the year 1986. The Bahai Lotus Temple is without a doubt one of the must-visit places in Delhi.

Humayun’s Tomb
More like a palace, Humayun’s tomb is one of the best preserved Mughal monuments. This historical monument was built in the year 1570 by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum, after almost nine years after Humayun died. It is considered to be the first garden-tomb to be built in India and has also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1933. Also referred to as the Maqbara-e-Humayun, Humayun’s tomb is the first structure in India that was built in the Mughal style of architecture.

Qutub Minar
The Qutub Minar is a minaret and “victory tower” that forms part of the Qutb complex, which lies at the site of Delhi’s oldest fortified city, Lal Kot. It was built by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in 1199 to celebrate his kinship. Built of red and buff sandstone and eloquently carved with inscriptional bands. The Qutb Minar is the tallest stonework tower in India, measuring 72.5 meters high.
The Qutub Minar is situated in Mehrauli– the heritage storehouse of Delhi. The site is also the venue for the annual three-day Qutub Festival- a gathering of musicians, artists, and dancers.

Agrasen Ki Baoli

There is no clear historical record of when and by whom this beautiful stepwell was built. It has a unique and ornate architectural style built in a rectangular shape, making it different from other step wells in Delhi.

The premise of India Gate also houses the Amar Jawan Jyoti, which is a kindled structure right underneath the archway. India Gate is also famous for hosting the Republic Day parade every year.
